Frequently asked questions
Quick answers about our coffee, ordering and brewing. Cannot find yours? Contact us.
What does whole bean coffee mean?
Whole bean coffee is roasted coffee that has not been ground. Grinding just before you brew keeps the aroma and flavor much fresher. Our grind size guide shows what setting to use for each method.
How fresh is your coffee?
We roast in small batches and label each bag with its roast level and origin. Coffee tastes best within about four to six weeks of roasting. Read how to store coffee beans for tips.
Which coffee is best for espresso?
Our Runway Espresso Blend is made for espresso and milk drinks. Medium and medium-dark single origins, such as Brazil Cerrado Mineiro, also work well.
Which coffee is best for pour-over?
Light and medium roasts show the most in a paper filter. Try Ethiopia Yirgacheffe for floral notes or Colombia Huila for sweetness. See our pour-over recipe.
How do I order?
Open any coffee in the shop and use the order button. We will confirm your order details by email.
Where do you ship, and how long does it take?
Delivery areas and times are listed on our shipping and returns page.
What if I do not like my coffee?
Email us and we will help. Often a small change in grind, ratio or water temperature fixes it, and if not, see our returns information.
Do you sell to cafes and offices?
Yes. Read about wholesale coffee and send us a message.
