About this coffee
Kenyan coffee is known for vivid acidity and deep fruit flavors. Nyeri County sits in the highlands near Mount Kenya, where red volcanic soil and altitude suit the SL28 and SL34 varieties.
Expect blackcurrant and grapefruit with a sweet, syrupy finish of brown sugar. It is bright and juicy, and it stands up well to a slightly stronger recipe.
How to brew it
- Pour-over: 16 g coffee to 250 g water at 95 °C, ground medium-fine.
- Iced: brew a strong AeroPress concentrate over ice.
- Tip: if the cup tastes too sharp, grind slightly coarser.
